Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region will be connected to Fujian province by high-speed train when the new national train schedule comes into effect on Jan 5, 2019, according to China Railway Nanning Group Co Ltd.

The new G2340/37 and G2338/9 will travel between Nanning East and Fuzhou railway stations, bringing Guangxi's bullet train connections to 19 provinces, municipalities and special administrative regions around the country.

Meanwhile, more high-speed trains will run north with the opening of the G4151/2, which will link Wuhan and Nanning.

According to the new schedule, the terminals of 13 bullet trains traveling across Guangxi will also be adjusted. The current G2342/3 and G2344/1 from Ningbo to Nanning will adopt the new Fuxing (Rejuvenation) bullet train model.
