The 2018 China Innovation Design Conference (Hezhou Summit) and the Innovation and Development Forum on Industrial Cooperation of Guangxi Eastward Integration Pilot Demonstration Area were held in Hezhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Nov 1 to 2.

Experts and think tank institutions from China's innovation design and other fields conducted in-depth discussions on major issues such as improving innovative design capabilities and accelerating the development of emerging industries such as digital creativity.

Hezhou is located at the junction of Guangxi, Guangdong and Hunan provinces. It is one of the youngest cities in Guangxi and an important channel for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

The conference aims to create a platform for development, sharing and open cooperation, attracting investment from the eastern industries and building a new economy in which the Hezhou real economy and digital economy are integrated, promoting digital industrialization and accelerating Hezhou's eastward integration.

The people's government of Hezhou signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Innovation Design Alliance of China.

The Innovation Design Big Data Hezhou Center, the Health Engineering Innovation Design Alliance, and the Agricultural Equipment Innovation Design Alliance were also unveiled.

At the innovation and development forum, Hezhou held the 2018 China (Hezhou) Design Poverty Alleviation Action Plan Symposium, attracting more than 80 representatives from colleges, universities, enterprises and scientific research institutions.

At the symposium, poverty alleviation offices based in Hezhou's counties and districts introduced the current situation, requirements and achievements in poverty alleviation work.

Hezhou industry and information committee introduced background and preliminary ideas for poverty alleviation work, while specially invited guests and representatives from the relevant departments of neighboring cities exchanged experience.
