The 2018 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition, held in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Oct 26 to 28, attracted more than 800 exhibitors from home and abroad and 160,000 visitors.

Launched in 2015, this year's exhibition was co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with a number of government officials attending the opening ceremony. The three-day forum, themed "Join hands to build up a new community of China-ASEAN tourist innovation", is aiming to accelerate and upgrade the construction of Guilin's internationally famous scenic spots.

As a platform for tourism, business and cultural exchange, the expo will contribute to setting up more cooperative mechanisms and is expected to deepen the cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, boosting cultural and economic exchange through tourism.
