Guilin has made use of the UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook as a platform to attract wisdom and attention from around the world, since 12 years ago when it hosted the event for the first time.

Drawing lessons from the forum, Guilin has made remarkable progress in the direction of becoming an international tourist resort.

The 12th UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook is staged in Guilin from Oct 25-27.

Tourism officials, NGO representatives, academics and entrepreneurs attending the forum come to Guilin to share their vision, wisdom, practice and experience to seek opportunities of win-win cooperation.

The forum's theme this year is "The future of tourism, road to 2030". Policy-makers, researchers and practitioners of the tourism industry will predict the trends of global and regional tourism development and promote the sustainable development of tourism.

The first day of the forum is expert conference. The second day includes the forum's opening ceremony, theme speech, panel discussions and closing ceremony while the third day is field research and inspection.
