During the 2018 International Health and Longevity Forum from Oct 15 to 18, it was announced that moving forward the event will be held annually in Hezhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The forum spoke highly of Hezhou's achievements and reaffirmed its role as a "World Longevity City". Over 300 representatives from various countries and organizations took part. 

According to Li Bin, vice chairman of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, and Li Hongqing, the municipal Party secretary of Hezhou, the city has promoted the development of the longevity healthcare economy in Guangxi and the ecological health industry in Hezhou by taking advantages of its ecological resources, tourism resources and its longevity brand. They also hope the communication and cooperation offered by this forum will help Hezhou to continue becoming a model for the rapid development of the longevity and elderly care industry.

Zhang Guangting, deputy director of the Civil Affairs Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region indicated that Hezhou should rely on its unique natural endowments and geographical advantages to vigorously develop the eco-health industry.
