Yinhai district of Beihai city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has actively explored new ways of village collective economic development, strengthening the village-level collective economy through multiple means since the beginning of 2018.

Among the 41 administrative villages in Yinhai district, there are nine villages with an annual income of 20,000 to 50,000 yuan ($2,883.17 to $7,207.93), and 13 villages with an income of more than 50,000 yuan.

The towns in Yinhai district have explored various development options such as resource development, asset revitalization, industry driving, village-enterprise cooperation and the sharing of dividends.

Financial support was received from the village-level collective economic development fund amounting to a total of 9.55 million yuan, of which 3.85 million yuan was allocated from the city and 5.7 million yuan from the district.

Dongshan village, Pingyang town in Yinhai district made full use of their village-level collective economic development funds of 500,000 yuan to build Dongshan Village National Kindergarten, which covers an area of 604 square meters and can accommodate more than 100 children.

The kindergarten officially opened on Sept 1, solving the difficulty previously faced in the area regarding sending children to school and helping to ameliorate the weak collective economy.

Through the financial resources, Fucheng town, West village rebuilt and expanded the West village market, increasing the employment of villagers and the collective income of the village.

The development of photovoltaic power generation projects in four poverty-stricken villages in Fucheng town is estimated to increase the village collective economic income by 23,000 yuan per year.

Dashuijiang Bolin Fruit and Vegetable Planting Farmers Professional Cooperative in Fucheng town has adopted the "Party + cooperative + poverty-stricken households" model and absorbed 49 poverty-stricken households into its cooperative to grow cantaloupe, watermelon and pepper, resulting in economic benefits for all involved.
