The launching ceremony for the equipment test of the 12th China (Nanning) International Garden Exposition was held at Nanning, the capital city of Guangzi Zhuang autonomous region on Oct 8.

At the launching ceremony, representatives of the tour guides, volunteers and others took oath of the post to provide excellent services for tourists. On the same day, the 15,000-square-meter Yacca Park, the ASEAN Friendship Pavilion and the Hangzhou Garden also showed their appearance. Zhou Hongbo, the mayor of Nanning, sent an invitation stating "Welcome to China International Garden Exposition in winter" to the entire world.

Seventeen facilities such as water, electricity, communication and fire protection is being tested. It is expected that the commissioning and operation test of all equipment and facilities will be completed by the end of November.

At present, the construction of the three major parts of the park: buildings, municipalities, and landscape are coming to their end. 18 exhibition gardens of all 80 gardens have been basically completed, and the main exhibition halls have been arranged in an orderly manner.

Nanning is preparing for the Expo with high standards, striving to demonstrate the achievements of urban construction and promoting the integration of multiculturalism. The Expo will be held for the first time in the capital city of ethnic minorities. It also has great significance in showing the ecological beauty of Guangxi and the openness and tolerance of the culture.
