The ninth China-ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum to open in mid-November

On September 25, a press conference held by the Secretariat of the 2018 (the ninth) China-ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum and Exhibition announced that this year's Mining Cooperation Forum will be held in Nanning from November 14 to 18.
During the forum, guests from the mining authorities, mining associations, financial institutions and mining research institutions of China and ASEAN countries will hold discussions on topics such as the environmental-friendly development of mining and mining projects and technical cooperation. Approximately 1,000 attendees are expected to participate.
It is reported that more than 10 activities will be held at the forum. In terms of the signing and promotion of mining projects, in addition to the mining projects promotion events of Guangxi and related provinces and cities, special mining promotion events of Cambodia and Laos will be held.
At this year's forum, the pragmatic cooperation of mining projects will become the biggest focus. More than 10 major projects are expected to be signed, more than 20 projects will be discussed and a selection of more than 50 projects will be promoted.
As one of the series of important activities under the framework of China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, the China-ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum and Exhibition has been successfully held for eight consecutive years, which has effectively promoted the cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in mining investment, technology promotion, energy conservation and emission reduction, comprehensive utilization of resources, and personnel training, and has played an important role in promoting the recovery and sustainable development of the international mining economy.
In the past eight years, the forum has received more than 7,100 attendees and more than 2,720 participating companies; more than 1,270 projects were promoted, 118 were signed, and the contract amount was about 55.3 billion yuan ($8.04 billion); six sessions of the China-ASEAN Mining Personnel Exchange and Training Course were held and 83 mining personnel were trained for ASEAN countries.
