Chinese state councilor meets CPR to ASEAN delegation

BEIJING, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR) to ASEAN delegation led by Philippine Ambassador to ASEAN Elizabeth Buensuceso in Beijing on Monday.
Wang said China has always attached great importance to its relations with its neighbors, developing countries and small and medium countries.
"China will continue to place ASEAN in an important position of China's diplomatic situation and the priority direction of neighboring diplomacy," Wang said, calling on China and ASEAN to work together and firmly uphold multilateral rules, common interests and regional security.
The representatives expressed their willingness to further strengthen cooperation with China, jointly safeguard multilateral rules and accelerate the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership negotiation process.
