Guangxi's economic situation in 2018

The region saw a good and steady economic development in the first half of the year.

The region's GDP was 876.26 billion yuan, increasing by 6.2 percent year-on-year. Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 78.64 billion yuan, increasing by 4.6 percent year-on-year; the added value of the secondary industry was 422.42 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.3 percent; and the tertiary industry, 375.2 billion yuan, up 10.2 percent year-on-year. 

I. Steady development in agriculture and animal husbandry

The added value of the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery industry of the region was 83.02 billion yuan, up 4.9 percent year-on-year; the increase was 1.3 percentage points higher than the first quarter of 2018.
