Hechi city in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region held a promotion conference on Aug 14 to analyze difficulties and problems in boosting the Hongshui River Health Maintenance Tour Project.

With a total investment of 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion), the project includes the Tian'e Leisure and Healthcare Tourism Resort, the Donglan River Valley Healthcare Resort and the Dahua Yao Spring Ecotourism Resort. The investment of the first stage is expected to be an initial 4.2 billion yuan including 500 million yuan by the end of 2018.

On account of a lag in project planning and land requisitions, the project did not proceed as expected. The conference aimed to push forward cooperation among relevant departments to solve the problems. A number of government officials and persons in charge attended the conference to weigh in on improving supervision and volunteered to participate in project construction.
