From January to May, 2.8 billion yuan ($409 million) of investment promotion funds were in place, including construction, water conservancy, environmental and public facilities management, real estate and other industries. Among them, the funds for newly introduced projects and existing projects under construction projects were 947 million yuan and 1.86 billion yuan respectively.

Among the newly introduced projects, the construction of Wuzhou Shijiang Renovation Factory Store has been successfully completed. The store, occupying an area of 2,800 square meters, opened on May 26. The total investment of the project reached 50 million yuan. 

Among the existing projects currently under construction, the Longhu Town section of the Wanxiu Expressway received the investment of 200 million yuan and the Phase III project received 226 million yuan. 151 million yuan was in place for the construction of the south bank of the Hongwu Bridge in Wanxiu District. In addition, the comprehensive management project of Siliang River Basin with a total investment of approximately 23 million yuan and the new urban complex project of Hedong Cultural Tourism in Wanxiu District with a total investment exceeding five billion yuan are also making steady progress.
