Guangxi's wind power equipment makes debut export

Two hundred and twenty-nine 89.6-meter intelligent wind turbine blades, produced at a local smart energy base, have been shipped to South Asia via a Panamanian cargo vessel, marking Guangxi's first export of such equipment.

This milestone expands the region's high-end manufacturing export portfolio and signals China's offshore wind power industry has shifted from technology import to complete unit export under the RCEP framework.

"Using this port shortens voyage times by 4-5 days compared to Yangtze River ports, lowering logistics costs," said a logistics manager from an energy. Several major wind power firms, along with top energy and shipbuilding companies, have established operations locally, fueling a expanding industrial cluster.

A smart energy base has now been established that combines wind turbine production, blade manufacturing, and a global testing center, making it Guangxi's only offshore wind power equipment cluster.

To facilitate these exports, local customs has implemented a "case-specific" supervision approach, offering personalized guidance during declaration, packaging, and inspection to promote more Guangxi-made products in international markets.
