The 3rd China-ASEAN (Nanning) Culture Month kicked off on Oct 24, aiming to strengthen cultural exchanges and foster friendship between China and ASEAN countries through a variety of activities.
Hosted in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the event serves as a key platform for cultural interaction between China and ASEAN.
Building on earlier editions' success, it emphasizes fostering mutual understanding via art, heritage, and creative displays that reflect the unique cultures of both sides.
Throughout culture month, various activities are planned, such as traditional music performances, folk dance shows, art exhibitions with paintings and handicrafts, and forums dedicated to cultural heritage protection.
These events highlight the rich cultural diversity of China and ASEAN nations and offer opportunities for artists, cultural workers, and audiences to engage and learn from one another.
Notably, several highlight events will bring together talents from China and ASEAN countries.
For instance, a joint music concert will feature musicians playing traditional instruments from various regions, while a folk art show will display both classic and modern works that combine cultural elements from both sides. These performances are expected to draw large crowds, both locals and visitors.
Organizers said that the 3rd China-ASEAN (Nanning) Culture Month will run for about a month, with more community-based activities planned to engage the public.
By fostering closer cultural ties, the event aims to contribute to the long-term cooperation and friendly relations between China and ASEAN countries.
