Women from the neighbouring nations of China and Vietnam came together for a folk culture exchange in Daxin county, Chongzuo city on April 5. The event was held ahead of the Sanyuesan Festival, a major festival celebrated by the Zhuang ethnic group on the third day of the third month of the traditional Chinese calendar.

Participants experienced a variety of time-honored folk activities together. They made colorful glutinous rice, local snacks and a range of handicrafts. They also joined in folk dances, ball tossing and other interactive programs, sharing joy and laughter in a warm atmosphere.
A Vietnamese participant said she felt deeply welcomed and valued the chance to learn about Zhuang culture. She described the event as a wonderful opportunity to connect with friends across the border.

Local officials said the activity strengthened communication and friendship between Chinese and Vietnamese people. It showcased the unique charm of Zhuang intangible cultural heritage and promoted mutual understanding.
The event successfully built a bridge of cultural exchange, writing a new chapter of friendly cooperation between the two countries.
