Instructors taught the basics of traditional hand embroidery, from pattern drawing to stitching techniques. They combined theory with practice, sharing tips on color matching and creative design. Trainees wove colorful threads into works that mix classic motifs with modern ideas.
Nandan has been developing ethnic embroidery as a key industry in recent years. It helps women find jobs, boosts the integration of culture and tourism, revives traditional skills, and offers rural women a platform to learn, exchange ideas, and start businesses.
By passing down the craft while adding new elements, Nandan not only preserves cultural heritage but also brings real economic benefits to local families.
