The black goat cultivation industry at the family farms in Luocheng Mulam autonomous county, Hechi, has been thriving, transforming the area's ecological advantages into tangible economic benefits and paving a green path to wealth.

The environment around the family farms, including undulating hills and lush vegetation, is ideal for grazing black goats.

Lu Shiyou, a black goat breeder, said that the goats graze in the mountains for over five hours daily, feeding on natural grass. This natural grazing approach results in physically fit goats with tender meat and minimal gaminess, making them highly favored in the market.

Additionally, Lu emphasizes scientific management, implementing detailed classification strategies and marking sick goats for treatment.

Currently, Lu's farm has around 400 black goats, with nearly 80 sold this year, generating an annual income of over 100,000 yuan ($13,652).

In recent years, Luocheng county has focused on the potential of industrial development, actively exploring mechanisms to support and connect farmers. The county encourages residents to develop modern, specialized industries suited to local conditions, unleashing significant rural revitalization potential.
