Hechi's import, export growth ranks 3rd in Guangxi

From January to November in 2024, the total import and export value of Hechi city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region reached 51.9 billion yuan ($7.1 billion), marking a 21.7 percent increase compared to 2023. This growth rate positioned Hechi as the third fastest-growing city in the autonomous region.

Notably, imports accounted for 42.8 billion yuan, showing a substantial 75.1 percent year-on-year increase and securing the city's third position in terms of import growth rate across the region.

In 2024, the city focused on key projects such as processing trade and bonded logistics to promote foreign trade and ensure stable growth. By utilizing bonded logistics, the city achieved 5.78 billion yuan in imports and exports from January to November, a remarkable 138.8 percent increase, significantly boosting the foreign trade economy.

In addition, Hechi puts effort into exploring the potential of foreign trade. Collaborative activities with customs and other departments were conducted to promote policies and measures that support stable growth in foreign trade. The city encourages enterprises to engage in international trade, and expand into global markets.
