Italian chef puts Hechi food into pizza

Welovepizza, a popular pizza restaurant co-owned by Hechi native Wei Suyuan and her Italian husband, Roberto Uditi, is situated on a busy street in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, offering a special menu with innovative flavors.
Wei and her husband met and got married in Los Angeles, the United States, and returned to Jinchengjiang district in Hechi in 2023. Uditi was particularly impressed by Hechi cuisine, praising dishes like chestnut zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), sausages, and rice noodles.
After careful consideration, the family decided to start a business in Nanning, as the operation of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway has shortened travel time between Jinchengjiang district and Nanning.
In addition to traditional pizza flavors, their restaurant has been exploring ways to blend the flavors of Hechi sausage with pizza, hoping to bring new surprises to their customers.
By creating food with passion and treating customers like friends, the pizza restaurant has been seeing a growing number of new visitors.
Uditi said that making pizzas and running the restaurant are things he loves. Imbuing passion into their work, they lead fulfilling and joyful lives. Guangxi has become Uditi's second home, a place he can't imagine leaving.
