Talent policy helps bolster Nandan's economic growth
Nandan county, Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has been continuously refining and improving its talent policies to attract and nurture talent from all walks of life, transforming the city into a magnet for talented people far and wide.
In the first half of this year, the region achieved a total GDP of 87.45 billion yuan ($12.2 billion), marking a 12 percent year-on-year increase, the highest growth rate among 111 counties, cities, and districts in the entire region.
The county has attracted a total of 26,000 professionals from various fields. The proportion of professionals with a bachelor's degree or higher in the business management workforce has surged from 29.4 percent in 2012 to 67.7 percent today.
As a shining example, Guangxi Nandan Nanfang Non-ferrous Metal Company in Nandan county secured the 404th spot on the prestigious "China's Top 500 Enterprises" list with an impressive revenue of 60.27 billion yuan.
Among those credited for this remarkable achievement is Jing Tao, the deputy general manager of the company, who has dedicated 23 years of his life to non-ferrous metallurgy research and successfully overcame technical challenges in the smelting process. Jing said, "It is in this talent-focused environment that I can steadily advance in technological innovation."
Nandan has introduced supportive talent policies, established special funds for talent subsidies, and actively conducted commendation activities for outstanding talent and advanced organizations in talent management, thus motivating professionals from various fields to unleash their full potential.
