Beiya Yao autonomous town celebrates 40th anniversary

On Oct 23, Beiya Yao autonomous town in Yizhou district celebrated its 40th anniversary with a grand event. The day was filled with joy, as colorful flags waved, drums sounded, and the atmosphere brimmed with festivity.

The celebration featured multiple excellent performances, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience. After the event, the Hechi delegation visited local teachers Lan Mingshan and Lan Linxi, recognizing their dedication. The delegation also paid tribute to the police officers at a local police station, expressing gratitude for their hard work. Beiya Yao autonomous town hosted an exhibition celebrating its achievements over the past four decades. The streets and cultural square came alive with vibrant activities, featuring a folk parade, a Yao ethnic food street, musical performances, and a lively cultural market.

Beiya Yao autonomous town has transformed from poverty to prosperity, completing the crucial task of poverty alleviation. The township’s agriculture, infrastructure, and cultural heritage have seen significant development, creating a united, prosperous, and flourishing community.
