22nd Bronze Drum Folk Song Art Festival held in Hechi

The 22nd Bronze Drum Folk Song Art Festival mass cultural performance concluded on the evening of Sept 27 in Hechi city. The local government presented a total of 37 performances, featuring 28 newly created works.

The renditions were divided into five major categories – vocal music, square dances, drama sketches and dance – presented in different sessions.

Each county's cultural, radio, television and tourism bureau put on rousing performances – such as the dance Love Song of Shengsheng. There was also a great sketch called Duonu's Home, demonstrating a diverse range of artistic expressions.

Furthermore, the performance covered various themes, including showcasing red-themed areas, praising hometowns and new lives and displaying ethnic customs through vocal and dance performances. That enabled the audience to enjoy high-quality cultural performances, while at the same time being imbued with patriotic sentiments.

A panel of six experts will select award winners and the awards ceremony will take place at the closing ceremony.
