Pearl plums are currently being cultivated over an area of 105,300 mu (7,020 hectares) in Tian'e county, with a production area of about 40,000 mu. The total yield is around 25,000 metric tons, with a market value of up to 152 million yuan ($21 million) at current market prices.

"The pearl plums are crispy, juicy, and moderately sweet and sour, making them very popular in both local and external markets," said Yang Shengrong, who grows pearl plums.

At various e-commerce enterprises and express delivery companies in the county, workers are busy loading boxes of pearl plums onto vehicles. Lu Feiyun, general manager of China Post's Tian'e branch, mentioned that the company has already sent over 3,000 packages of pearl plums to customers around the nation. During the upcoming peak delivery period, the company plans to increase manpower and logistics vehicles to ensure timely delivery of the pearl plums.
