Key milestone achieved in Hechi-Libo Highway construction
On July 14, the first section of the adjacent operating line support bracket formwork beam for the HLSG1 section of the Hechi-Libo Highway project was poured, marking the project's entry into the sprint phase and laying a solid foundation for subsequent formwork construction, bridge deck construction, and overall line connectivity.
The Hechi-Libo Highway overpassing the Guizhou-Guangxi Railway Bridge is an important but challenging project along the entire Hechi-Libo Highway, serving as a control project located within the jurisdiction of Desheng town, Yizhou district, Hechi.
The single-span formwork is 122 meters long and approximately 14.4 meters wide. This pour is for the first section of the left side pier No 11, which is 26 meters long and requires the pouring of 734 cubic meters of concrete, with a beam weight exceeding 1,946 metric tons.
The Hechi-Libo Highway spans a total of 69.2 kilometers and, once completed, will provide a new way to travel between Guizhou and Guangxi. Construction has now started on the project's second phase, including road surface, electromechanical, and building construction. It is expected to be completed and open to traffic by the end of this year.
