Completion of Longjiang Bridge marks milestone of Yizhou West Expressway
Recently, the Longjiang Bridge on the Yizhou West Expressway in Hechi has been fully erected, signaling the project entry into a comprehensive sprint stage, local media outlets reported on July 2.
The Longjiang Bridge is one of the key projects of the Yizhou West Expressway, extending 468 meters and 14 spans and requiring the installation of 140 T-beams. Recently, the installation of T-beams on the Longjiang Bridge was hindered by rainy weather.
The expressway serves as an auxiliary route of the G78 Shantou-Kunming Expressway (Yizhou-Liuzhou Expressway). The project starts at the Desheng service area of the G78 Shantou-Kunming Expressway, passing Huaiyuan town, Tongde township, Beiya Yao ethnic township, and Beishan town in Yizhou district, and ends near Shaping village in Shibie town, Yizhou, with a total length of 45.44 kilometers.
To date, the project has accumulated an investment of 4.71 billion yuan ($6,476 million), which accounts for 82.7 percent of the total investment required. Additionally, 19 out of the 20 mainline bridges have been fully erected.
