Hechi advances healthcare with 'internet +' project
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Health Commission recently organized the application pilot project for "Broadband Network + Healthy Rural Areas" (first batch) declaration. The "Internet + Medical Imaging Cloud" platform project in Hechi city was selected.
As early as 2019, the city initiated the construction of the Hechi Medical Imaging Cloud Platform project through investment promotion, aggregating and integrating image data from medical institutions at all levels.
This project facilitates higher-level hospitals supporting lower-level hospitals, reducing the need for people to travel extensively for medical services. It allows data to travel more efficiently, enabling local diagnosis and treatment and providing access to remote imaging services from experts.
It enhances the level of informatization in medical institutions at all levels, significantly reducing expenses on hospital servers, storage, traditional films, and optimizing medical service processes.
As of now, five tertiary hospitals, 22 secondary hospitals, and 137 clinics in the city have completed construction of the "Internet + Medical Imaging Cloud" system.
Additionally, patients can access and share imaging examination results on their mobile phones, enabling the sharing of medical imaging data among all medical institutions in the city.
