Hechi kicks off football tournament for middle-aged, elderly enthusiasts

On April 21, the "8+1" football tournament of the 18th Laoyou Cup, hosted by the Hechi Football Association, kicked off at the Hechi Vocational Education Center School.

The competition is scheduled to be held on weekends starting from April 21, with a total of 19 teams participating. The competition is divided into two stages. The first stage is set to be a round-robin format with groups drawn by lots divided into two groups, A and B. The second stage is intended to determine the rankings according to the pre-established rules of the Hechi Football Association and decide the top three.

The tournament is open to football enthusiasts over the age of 35, aiming to provide a platform for participants to showcase their skills, exchange knowledge, ignite enthusiasm for national fitness, and promote the spirit of unity, cooperation, and perseverance in sports.

In addition, to highlight the "old friends" theme and ensure the age of the participants, the event also stipulates that there must be six players over the age of 40 on the field for each match.
