Baxu Breeding Base qualified to export beef to HK
Following scrutiny by Hechi Customs, the Baxu Breeding Base in Hechi has achieved a milestone as the first breeding base in Guangxi to attain qualification for exporting chilled beef to Hong Kong.
The base is located in Baxu Yao town, Nandan county, backed by an investment of 110 million yuan ($15.28 million). According to its plan, 100 mu (6.7 hectares) of land is set to be used to raise cows, with the expected amount of livestock on hand totaling 2,000, mainly Wagyu. The project aims to create a famous beef brand around China by providing high-quality beef.
For numerous years, Hechi has consistently held the top position in the beef cattle industry of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Its burgeoning reputation is attributed to the region's exceptional geographical environment, abundant forage resources, and the outstanding genetic makeup of its cattle breeds.
Hechi Customs promotes the export project by forming a supportive team to provide professional guidance. The base has implemented a comprehensive management system and has invested in essential hardware facilities, thereby establishing a robust foundation for the export of beef to Hong Kong.
Moving forward, Hechi Customs remains committed to adhering to the pertinent quarantine regulations governing the export of meat to Hong Kong, alongside efforts made to further optimize the port business environment. Under its guidance, enterprises are poised to further leverage preferential policies of Hechi Customs to promote the industrial vitalization.
