Hechi integrated energy storage project begins construction

On Feb 29, the momentous launch ceremony marked the commencement of the integrated energy storage pilot project in Nandan county, Hechi. The project is dedicated to the construction of a new power system, bolstering the capacity for renewable energy absorption and driving forward the advancement of a green energy structure for the high-quality development of the industrial economy.

The project is the largest integrated energy storage project in terms of installed capacity in the country and will establish wind and photovoltaic facilities in Nandan county and Tian'e county. 

It is a key project in constructing a new power system in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the largest industrial project investment since 1965. It is expected to fundamentally address the issues of insufficient electricity and high electricity prices in Hechi's industrial development to promote the comprehensive green and low-carbon transformation of Hechi's economy and society.
