Nandan makes significant progress in urban-rural integration
Last year, Nandan county, Hechi, made significant progress in urban-rural integration, including urban upgrades, regional road network optimization and rural construction.
The newly built integrated market in Nandan county, Hechi, has embraced the Spring Festival with ample supplies. With an investment of 350 million yuan ($49 million), the market has become a significant livelihood project and a more convenient shopping destination for residents.
Expanding the county's urban area to 8.49 square kilometers has led to rapid urban development, with the total output value of the real estate industry increasing by 135.9 percent year-on-year.
The optimization of the regional road network has significantly improved travel conditions for locals. The construction of a new secondary road has dramatically reduced travel time for residents, benefiting 20,000 people. Furthermore, the expressway's opening from Pingtang to Tian'e facilitates local travel and boosts the local integrated economy.
Nandan has also implemented a courtyard economy (a business model in which rural households carry out small commercial activities in their courtyards) to encourage the development of distinctive agriculture, handicraft workshops, and tourism. With an investment of over 48 million yuan in rural construction projects, rural toilet renovations and sewage treatment have progressed steadily.
