Hechi sees tourism surge during Spring Festival
From Feb 10 to 17, Hechi received approximately 6.53 million tourists, representing an 80.6 percent year-on-year increase. In terms of tourism consumption, the city achieved 3.98 billion yuan ($568 million), reflecting a 351.5 percent year-on-year increase.
During the Spring Festival holiday, Hechi seized the opportunity presented by the opening of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway. By leveraging this infrastructure development, the city focused on cultivating market entities and promoting the development of diverse tourism market formats.
Tailored local tourism products were also launched to ignite the enthusiasm of visitors. The entire tourism market remained vibrant, with a cultural and tourism consumption surge.
Hechi's vibrant Spring Festival celebrations attracted numerous visitors with their diverse and colorful array of attractions. From traditional folk parades to rural cultural performances and sports events, visitors were treated to an authentic and festive experience.
Furthermore, the intangible cultural heritage became a prominent feature of the city's tourism, with activities in the Bronze Drum Culture (Hechi) Ecological Protection Zone attracting both tourists and local residents. These activities united them in welcoming a prosperous new year.
