Transport network in Northwest Guangxi adds pivotal route
The Tian'e-Bama Expressway, which opened on Dec 20, is expected to play a vital role in strengthening the transportation network in the northwest of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
The expressway spans 104.7 kilometers and has an investment of 251.9 billion yuan ($35.4 billion). It features 96 bridges, 55 tunnels, eight interchanges, three service areas, seven toll booths, one management center, seven tunnel management stations, and two road maintenance centers.
It starts from Ganglingpo in Hechi's Tian'e county and passes through Donglan county, Fengshan county, and Bama Yao autonomous county, until coming to an end near Latang village in Bama county.
Travel time has been significantly reduced, with the journey from Tian'e to Nanning now only taking about three hours, and the travel time from Tian'e to Bama only taking one hour. This connectivity not only benefits the local communities, but also contributes to the development of major transportation routes between Guizhou and Guangxi.
This expressway will accelerate Hechi's socioeconomic development, while also promoting regional tourism cooperation between Guangxi and other regions.
