Dahua promotes integrated development of fishery, tourism sectors
The Hongshui River-ASEAN International Fishing Base in Hechi's Dahua Yao autonomous county has been promoting the integrated development of Hechi’s fishery and tourism sectors in recent years.
Situated in the Hongshui River Demonstration Zone, the base is an important part of the Bama International Longevity Tourism Area.
Surrounded by mountains and farmland, the base has become a holiday destination that combines leisure, fishing, and health and wellness. It features a tourist service center, a fishery culture exhibition hall, a fly-fishing sculpture square, and a floating fishing bridge.
"We will continue to accelerate our own development and further improve the quality of our services in order to create a better fishing environment for fishing enthusiasts," said Huang Lian, Party chief of Beijing township, Dahua Yao autonomous county.
In 2020, the base was recognized as a national-level four-star agriculture and rural tourism parks. Over the years, it has attracted numerous fishing enthusiasts from nearby counties, cities, and provinces. Moreover, the base has hosted multiple editions of the China-ASEAN International Fishing Competition, which attracts over 1,000 participants each year.
