Luocheng focuses on industry, employment

In recent years, Luocheng Mulam autonomous county has made great efforts to increase the income of local farmers by promoting industry development and employment.

In the first three quarters of this year, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in the county reached 7,973 yuan ($1,115), increasing 6.5 percent year on year.

In terms of industrial development, the county formulated implementation plans to improve its beef and sugarcane industries. It has also focused on developing its raw materials industry in order to support its snail rice noodle manufacturing sector.

The county government has expedited the modernization of agriculture, fostered a new agricultural management system, and improved the mechanism that connects farmers with agricultural machinery. These efforts have helped 5,605 households from 82 villages increase their income.

In terms of boosting employment, the county has increased its assistance work. It has organized 12 online and offline job fairs. It has also promoted 21,798 job positions from 481 companies.

The county now also provides free point-to-point transportation, offers cross-province transportation subsidies for migrant workers, and grants labor subsidies to personnel who have obtained stable employment within the county.
