1st Luocheng half-marathon kicks off

On Nov 12, the first Luocheng half-marathon kicked off. This event is certified as an A1-level half marathon by the Chinese Athletics Association and is a highlight of the Yifan Culture and Tourism Festival of the Mulam ethnic group.

The event featured two categories: a half-marathon and an "ethnic unity run". The half-marathon covered a distance of 21.1 kilometers and received 3,000 participants, while the "ethnic unity run" covered a distance of 5.6 km and received 2,000 participants.

After intense competition, Zhang Baihui claimed first place in the men's half-marathon category with a time of 1:10:28, followed closely by Zhang Qingmin in second place with a time of 1:10:29, and She Yanghe in third place with a time of 1:11:17. In the women's half-marathon category, Huang Meiying finished first with a time of 1:22:48, followed by Huang Maoqin in second place with a time of 1:26:02, and Li Yujin in third place with a time of 1:26:23.

By combining sports and tourism, the event further promotes national fitness and ethnic unity. It also helps to raise awareness and promote tourism in Luocheng.
