Tian'e county is home to Guangxi Shoujunyuan Technology Development, which has been cultivating lingzhi mushroom in order to boost rural vitalization.
The company focuses on the cultivation, spore powder processing, packaging, and sales of Lingzhi mushrooms. It also produces shiitake mushrooms, dried fish, and black fungus.
The company produces about 1.13 million kilograms of black fungus and processes 375,000 kg of Lingzhi mushrooms annually. They are then sold in both domestic and international markets.
The abundant sunlight and plentiful rainfall in Tian'e county provide natural advantages for the high-quality cultivation of edible mushrooms, such as Lingzhi and black fungus.
In October 2013, Chen Jianyou and five other partners established Guangxi Shoujunyuan Technology Development.
"During the growth and development process of Lingzhi mushrooms, temperature, humidity, and light are all crucial factors. Therefore, we adopt a simulated wild cultivation technique that involves variety breeding, green pest control, and forest regulation to ensure our product quality," said Chen.
Since 2016, the company has independently developed eight new practical patents and one invention patent. It has also established a complete industry chain development model that ranges from breeding excellent mushroom varieties to ecologically organic cultivation and deep processing work.
So far, the Lingzhi industry integrates production, processing, and sightseeing. "In the next step, we will further promote rural vitalization, innovate business models, enhance product technology, as well as extend the industry chain to the health and tourism fields," Chen said.
