Hechi sees tourism boom during 'Golden Week'
During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, Hechi's tourism market experienced a surge.
From Sept 29 to Oct 6, the city received 3.5 million visitors, an 82.8 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Tourism consumption reached 2.6 billion yuan, a 116.39 percent increase.
This marked the first extended holiday period since the opening of the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway, which has become a popular choice for travelers. The city introduced seven high-speed rail-themed tourism routes and diversified its tourism products to meet the demands of visitors. Major tourist attractions and hotels also launched a series of promotional "high-speed rail + scenic spot" activities to boost consumption.
During the holidays, various folk and cultural events took place across the city. Huaiyuan Ancient Town in Yizhou organized the "Mid-Autumn Moon Worship" event, which attracted tens of thousands of visitors. Nandan county hosted traditional Baiku Yao ceremonies and customs, such as a grand bonfire feast.
