Hechi supports development of luosifen industry
With the growing popularity of Liuzhou luosifen (river snail rice noodles), Hechi's Luocheng Mulam autonomous county has strengthened its support to promote the development of the luosifen raw materials industry.
Luocheng Laoniangcai Food, which provides ingredients to major luosifen manufacturers, is situated in the remote village of Gao'an in Luocheng.
Currently, the company covers an area of over 100 mu (6.7 hectares), and its expected annual output value is 30 million yuan ($4 million). The factory has four vegetable processing production lines that are equipped with advanced intelligent control, as well as automated production lines and assembly lines.
Wei Xiongbao, general manager of Luocheng Laoniangcai Food, said that he came up with this business idea in 2016, when he was a college student in Liuzhou.
Wei's hometown has a long tradition of pickling and preserving sour beans, as well as a lot of abandoned land, which were excellent conditions for developing a luosifen raw materials enterprise.
In 2017, the company produced its first-generation products. At that time, Luocheng organized local enterprises to participate in an expo in Shenzhen, where the company received its first order worth 100,000 yuan.
Subsequently, they improved their products and expanded their market share. The annual output value of the enterprise exceeded 10 million yuan in 2019. In 2020, the company became a key leading enterprise in the local agricultural industry.
With supporting policies, the enterprise has expanded to handle the cultivation, procurement, processing, storage, and sales of luosifen raw materials. This year, the company has set up a branch in Nanning to further expand its influence.
