Two towns in Hechi, namely Mangchang town in Nandan County and Beijing town in Dahua Yao autonomous county, have been included in the first batch of "National Agricultural Powerhouse Towns" by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.

In recent years, Nandan county has been pushing forward agricultural development and has established a 10,000-mu (667-hectare) rice planting base around Baping village in Mangchang town.

It has adopted a collaborative model of "company + cooperative + base + farmers" and established the Nandan Ecological Agriculture Cooperative, which has launched over 10 products. The Nandan Baping rice brand has been honored with titles such as "Famous Trademark of Guangxi."

Beijing town in Dahua Yao autonomous county is focusing on the development of the Yule Wuqiong Pastoral Complex, creating a demonstration area for the integrated development of ecological circular fishing, product processing, recreational fishing tourism, and cultural experiences.

Currently, the town is home to 52 farmer professional cooperatives, 208 fish farming households and 12 registered agricultural trademarks. The Beijing bighead carp has obtained national geographical indication certification.
