Du'an creates new models for rural vitalization

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Hechi's Du'an Yao autonomous county is creating a series of models for rural vitalization.

These efforts include the construction of more than 10 key demonstration towns for rural vitalization, over 100 featured demonstration villages and communities, more than 1,000 exquisite demonstration settlements, and more than 10,000 pioneer demonstration households.

As a result, the county will promote the comprehensive implementation of rural vitalization strategies in all 19 towns and 253 administrative villages and communities.

The Xiumei Renjia Rural Complex in Yongren village, Banling township, boasts a beautiful environment that attracts a large number of visitors. It has also become an important source of income for local farmers, who sell high-quality cold spring rice, beef, lamb, and fish.

At the Kelian resettlement point in Sanzhiyang township, local residents have transformed wasteland into small vegetable gardens and distributed them free of charge to 215 households for seasonal vegetable cultivation, saving the community over 700,000 yuan ($96,189) in expenses annually.
