Ecological resources in Huanjiang drive high-quality development

Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, the third largest forestry county in Guangxi, has been making use of its ecological resources to support high-quality development.

The construction site in the county's Hechi Modern Forestry Industrial Park is bustling with activity.

Thanks to a favorable business environment, the Huanjiang Xiangsheng Home Furnishing project, with a total investment of 550 million yuan ($76 million), started construction in September 2022. Its products are widely used in decoration, custom cabinet manufacturing, and solid wood composite floors, with an annual output value of over 800 million yuan and creating job opportunities for more than 300 people.

In 2022, the total industrial output value of Huanjiang's forestry-related industry reached 265 million yuan. It is expected to exceed 400 million yuan by the end of this year, which will mark a year-on-year growth of 50.94 percent. By 2025, the industrial output value of the county's forestry industry is expected to reach 4 billion and create more than 3,000 new jobs.
