Hechi (Yizhou) Western Transit Road achieves 48.5% of invest
The Hechi (Yizhou) Western Transit Road project has recently achieved significant progress.
As of now, the roadbed construction of the project is 85.3 percent complete, bridge construction is 43 percent complete, and tunnel construction is 51.7 percent complete. The main construction phase of the buildings at the Beishan Service Area has begun, and the Liuxiaotun Tunnel is about to achieve full penetration.
Hechi (Yizhou) Western Transit Road is an extension of the G78 Shantou-Kunming Expressway that connects with the Rongshui-Hechi Expressway. With a total length of 45.4 kilometers, it is an important part of Guangxi's expressway network and is undertaken by Guangxi Road and Bridge Engineering Group.
The project consists of 11 interchanges, one service area, 24 bridges, and four tunnels. It passes through Huaiyuan town, Tengde town, Beiyao Yao town, Beishan town, and finally reaches Shaping village in Shibie town.
Construction of the Hechi (Yizhou) Western Transit Road project started in September 2022. As of July 2023, the project has achieved a cumulative construction output value of 1.98 billion yuan ($276 million), accounting for 48.5 percent of the total contract amount.
Next, the project construction team will continue to ensure safety while efficiently advancing the overall construction progress.
