Nandan harvests chili peppers, boosts incomes of locals
In recent days, the chili peppers grown in Nandan county have been harvested. Local villagers are busy picking and packaging the peppers.
This year, the Nandan Xiangqing Ecological Cooperative planted 450 mu (30 hectares) of vegetables in Luofu, Liuzhai and Lihu Yao ethnic towns, with the output value exceeding 10,000 yuan ($1,400) per mu.
Adopting a "company + cooperative + farmers" operations model, this cooperative has created jobs for over 20 villagers.

Overall, Nandan county has increased its policy support to promote the vegetable industry and rural vitalization.
Since the introduction of the incentive policy, 34 new agricultural business entities have engaged in vegetable cultivation, covering an area of 2,080 mu.
A total of 494,300 yuan in incentive funds have been disbursed, sparking renewed enthusiasm among vegetable farmers.
