Guangdong-Guangxi cooperation boosts Du'an's rural vitalization
The Guangdong-Guangxi cooperation has made great efforts between Shenzhen's Bao'an district and Hechi's Du'an Yao autonomous county.
In 2022, nearly 12 million yuan ($1.7 million) in social assistance funding was donated to Du'an from Bao'an, and more than 100 collaborative projects were implemented.
Bao'an has made efforts to assist Du'an in aspects of promoting project construction, rural vitalization, deepening labor cooperation, and promoting consumption.
This year, Bao'an helped eight new enterprises settle in Du'an, with an additional investment of 255 million yuan, and 678 rural laborers were recruited. It also invested 28.36 million yuan to promote three industrial projects, involving edible fungi, fish breeding, and mountain spring water.
Some 13 townships and 50 villages in the county benefit from these projects, which also boosted rural vitalization.
Since the beginning of this year, Bao'an has assisted 1,295 rural Du'an laborers to travel to Guangdong province to find employment. Currently, there is a total of over 7,000 Du'an personnel who are employed in Guangdong.

Bao'an has also deepened assistance in promoting the sale of Hechi products. Currently, Du'an has six products holding "Shenzhen quality" certification, two agricultural product supply bases, and an agricultural product export base.
In 2023, the total amount of Du'an's agricultural products sold to Guangdong reached 75.09 million yuan, exceeding last year's total of 4.74 million yuan.
