On July 5, the Longli North to Libo section of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway entered its operating phase in accordance to its trial timetable.
This is the final stage of the trial operation. By organizing train operations according to the test timetable, comprehensive tests are conducted to fully inspect dispatching, train organization, train arrivals and departures, and equipment status. This will provide an important reference for formulating train operation plans, train frequencies, and operating schedules after the official opening.
The Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway is the first high-speed railway with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour in Guizhou and Guangxi. The Longli North to Libo section includes 12 stations, including three in Hechi city, namely Huanjiang, Hechi West and Du'an stations.
After the opening of the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway, the travel time from Guiyang to Nanning will be reduced from over 5 hours to about 2 hours. This is of great significance to the Belt and Road Initiative, as it improves the transportation system in Southwest China, and promote economic development.
