Dahua becomes host of 3rd Hechi Tourism Development Conference

The second Hechi Tourism Development Conference was held in Bama Yao autonomous county on March 31. At the conference, Dahua Yao autonomous county was awarded the right to host its third edition.

There are four national 4A-level tourist attractions in Dahua, namely Qibailong National Geological Park, Dahua Qimei Water City, Hongshui River Baili Gallery Scenic Spot, and the Yantan Tourist Attraction, as well as over 280 high-quality tourist resources.

Dahua has issued several support policies in recent years to boost the tourism industry. It has invested more than 3 billion yuan ($435 million) in building public service facilities to support the industry, and introduced 1.5 billion yuan of social capital into the construction of cultural and tourism projects.

Dahua received 2.8 million tourists in 2022, with their consumption amounting to 3.5 billion yuan. In the third quarter, the overall satisfaction rate among tourists ranked third in Guangxi. The number of cultural venues, size of investment, and number of visitors are among the top in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

In recent years, Dahua has been awarded the honorary title of "Hometown of Chinese Longevity Featured Gourmet.” It is only the second county in Hechi to be rated as a nationwide tourism demonstration area in Guangxi. Meanwhile, Dahua Dahong town has been rated among the top 10 cases of cultural tourism reform and innovation in Guangxi.
