Hechi's expressway projects complete investment of 33.6b yuan in 2022
In 2022, the Hechi municipal bureau of transportation promoted the construction of its major transportation projects. The investment into the construction of expressways was 33.6 billion yuan ($4.88 billion), and three expressways have started construction. The city has connected all counties to its expressway network.
By the end of 2022, forest utilization permits for three expressway projects, including the Guangxi section of the Hechi-Libo expressway, the Hechi (Yizhou) West Transit Line, and the Bama–Qiangwei expressway, had been approved. Land utilization permits for nine expressway projects and five ordinary highway projects have also been approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
The bureau has resolved several problems and accelerated the progress of land acquisition and demolition processes, which have provided preconditions for the commencement, and ensured the on-time completion of these expressway projects.
In 2022, the Hechi municipal bureau of transportation engaged with the local finance, development and reform departments to obtain 2.15 billion yuan from the national and autonomous region in order to issue local government bonds. These include 932 million yuan for the Guiyang-Nanning High Speed Railway, 890 million yuan for the Nandan-Tian'e Xialao Expressway, and 325 million yuan for the Laibin-Du'an Expressway.
