Hechi invests 33.6b yuan in expressway projects in 2022
Hechi has completed a total investment of 33.6 billion yuan ($5 billion) in its major transportation projects in 2022. According to the city's transportation bureau, all counties of Hechi have now been connected to the highway system.
As of the end of 2022, three expressway projects, including the Hechi to Libo (Guangxi section) expressway, Hechi (Yizhou) West Transit Line, and Bama to Qiangwei expressway, have obtained forest permits. In addition, nine highway projects, including Rongshui to Hechi, Laibin to Du'an, Pingtang to Tian'e (Guangxi section), Tian'e to Bama, Bama to Pingguo, Bama to Tiandong, Hechi (Yizhou) West Transit Line, Hechi to Libo (Guangxi section), and Bama to Qiangwei, as well as five ordinary road projects, have obtained land use permits.
In 2022, the city's transportation bureau coordinated with the municipal finance, development and reform departments to obtain 2.15 billion yuan in national and autonomous-region-level government bond funds, ensuring the acceleration of the "regional-city co-construction" project. This includes the Guiyang-Nanning high-speed railway with 932 million yuan, Nandan to Tian'e Xiaolao Expressway with 890 million yuan, and Laibin to Du'an Expressway with 325 million yuan.
These highway projects are expected to improve the transportation infrastructure in Hechi and promote the city's economic development.
