Hechi's forestry industry reaches $4.1b in value

In 2022, the total output value of Hechi's forestry industry reached 28.2 billion yuan ($4.1 billion), with a forest coverage rate of 71.57 percent and a village greening coverage rate of 47.59 percent. The tea oil industry has given over 36,500 households and 156,400 people opportunities to increase their income.
On March 10, the 2023 Hechi Forestry Work Meeting was held in Nandan county. At the meeting, the local government clarified the development layout of the city's tea oil industry, as well as the annual tasks for each county and district. Attendees also visited the Yunguantian Tea Oil Base, the Baping Tea Oil Intensive Processing Base, and the Xiayutun Tea Oil Planting Site in Rasi village, Mangchang town.
