In recent years, Hechi's Fengshan county has taken a series of measures to further protect and develop the clothing skills of the Lanyi Zhuang, which are affiliated with the Zhuang ethnic group. Their name comes from the blue homespun clothes that they wear.

Through continuous efforts, the protection and inheritance of the dyeing and weaving skills of the Lanyi Zhuang ethnic costumes in Fengshan are progressing smoothly, and have developed into a characteristic local industry to help the people increase their incomes.

The ethnic dress of the Lanyi Zhuang people has significant cultural significance and worth, and the techniques used in its creation have allowed it to be preserved as an intangible cultural heritage.

The county established expert factories, boosted capital investment, introduced cutting-edge technology, and used the Lanyi Zhuang culture as a distinctive business model. It launched culturally innovative items and ethnic costume teaching experience activities to promote the growth of local tourism by capitalizing on the tradition of wearing traditional clothing.

The Lanyi Zhuang Ethnic Handicraft Production Training Base has been established by the county, and more than 200 families in Jinya Yao township have been motivated to boost their incomes as a result.

Ban Caiyan is the founder of a local Lanyi Zhuang ethnic costume design office. She learned traditional Zhuang folk arts and crafts such as Lanyi Zhuang costumes, embroidery, and weaving with her grandfather, uncle and mother. The Lanyi Zhuang ethnic costumes produced by her are well praised throughout the market. Ban also carried out trainings on the production skills of blue clothes and stronger clothing, helped local women improve their technical skills, and promoted increasing the villager's incomes and the desire for rural women to work in their hometown.
